Remotle: Sound, Camera and Microphone

Sound from your workstation plays on your device. Your device’s camera and microphone appear on your workstation as Computle Camera and Computle Virtual Microphone, so Teams, Zoom and other apps can use them.

When an app on your workstation starts a call or a recording, the camera and microphone on your device switch on by themselves, and off again when it stops.

To change this:

  1. Press F2 to open the session menu.
  2. Open the Camera tab.
  3. Set Camera, Resolution and Microphone, or turn off Enable camera when the host requests it.

The first time Remotle uses your camera or microphone, your device asks for permission. Click Allow.

If you declined, open the Local tab of the session menu and click Reset microphone permission, or allow it in your device’s privacy settings:

  • Windows: Settings, Privacy & security, Microphone and Camera.
  • Mac: System Settings, Privacy & Security, Microphone and Camera.
  • iPad and iPhone: Settings, Computle.

Another application on your workstation has changed the default sound devices. Click Use Computle audio to switch back.

You can change headset or speakers on your device during a session. Sound follows the device you choose.
