Remotle: Updates
Remotle keeps itself up to date. Updates download in the background and never install during a session.
When updates install
Section titled “When updates install”| Platform | Behaviour |

| Windows | Checks every 6 hours. Installs between 02:00 and 05:00 local time, or straight away when you click Install now. |
| Mac | Checks at launch and every 6 hours while you are signed in. Installs between 02:00 and 05:00, or when you choose to install. |
| Linux | Checks every 6 hours. Installs between 02:00 and 05:00, or when you choose to install. |
| iPad and iPhone | Updates through the App Store. |
When an update is ready, Remotle shows what is new in it. Click Install now, or Later.
If a new version does not start correctly, Remotle returns to the previous version by itself.
Administrators can change the update window. See Deploying the Client.

Update channel
Section titled “Update channel”Settings, Preferences, Updates offers two channels:

| Stable | The current release. Recommended. |
| Beta | New features before they reach Stable. |
Version numbers
Section titled “Version numbers”Remotle versions are named by build date and time, for example 2026-10-11-2304. The version is in Settings, About.
